Ricky J. Sackmann

Ricky J. Sackmann, 56, of the township of Deer Creek, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024 at his home.

A prayer service for Ricky will take place at 5:00 PM on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Hemer-Pickerign Funeral Home. Visitation will take place at Hemer-Pickerign on Friday, June 14, 2024 from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 5:00 PM.

Ricky was born on April 24, 1968 to Clarence and Elizabeth (Baumer) Sackmann in Medford. He attended Medford area school and graduated from Medford Senior High. He worked at Hurd Millwork for a short period of time. He then went into farming with Pat Tischendorf and Rodney Umlauft.

Ricky loved farming and his animals, especially his Labradors. He also enjoyed his scenic UTV rides through the township and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He will be remembered for always being willing to lend a helping hand.

Ricky is survived by his sisters, Lennethe Adams and Kathryn (Jeff) Klinger, both of Medford and Theresa (Samuel) Zagorski of Lublin. Ricky is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ricky was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald, Brian, and Randy.
