TIME & PLACE OF FUNERAL: Memorial services will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, April 10 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Medford

OFFICIATING: Pastors Pete Warmanen and Nancy Amacher

PLACE OF BURIAL: Inurnment of his cremated remains will take place at Medford Evergreen Cemetery, with graveside military rites performed by the Medford Military Honors Team

VISITATION AT: St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Medford from 9:30 AM until time of services at 11:30 AM on Saturday, April 10

DATE & PLACE OF BIRTH: March 13, 1930 at the township of Hammel, Taylor Co., WI

EDUCATION: Township of Hammel elementary school and was a graduate of Medford High School

MARRIAGE INFORMATION: May 26, 1956 @ Medford to Delores J. Knutson and she preceded him in death November 9, 2001

PRINCIPAL EVENTS IN LIFE: After his education, he served for 21 years in the US Army National Guard retiring from there in 1971. Then he worked at the Medford Co-op and Weather Shield Mfg. in Medford for periods of time retiring in 1992. He drove school bus for Krug’s for a period of years and served for a period of time on the Medford City Council. He enjoyed gardening, woods working, and deer hunting.

MEMBER OF: St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Medford where he served on the church council for a period of time;
He also participated in area horseshoe leagues;

SURVIVING CHILDREN: Daughter-Lisa (James) Gilles of Medford; Sons-Rodney (Lynn) Balciar of Medford and Todd (Mary) Balciar of Mechanicsburg, PA

# OF GRANDCHILDREN: 5- Nicole Gilles, Jon, Anne, Madison & Kristina Balciar

SURVIVING BROTHERS/SISTERS: Sister-Irene Brunner of Medford
Brothers-Walter (Margaret) Balciar of Medford and Kenneth (Joyce) Balciar of Medford

DECEASED BROTHERS/SISTERS: Brother-Ernest “Emil” Balciar
