Patricia J. "Patsy" Meier

Patricia J. “Patsy” Meier, 83, of Medford, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Clark County Assisted Living while under the care of Heartland Hospice.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 17, 2024 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Holway with Barb Krug officiating.  Interment will follow at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., Monday at the church.

Memorials may go to Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Patsy’s honor.

Patsy was born May 29, 1941 in Taylor County to Henry and Florence (Raymond) Paul.  She graduated from Medford High School in 1959.

On August 15, 1959 she married Kenwood Meier at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Holway.

They resided in Medford where Patsy worked as a cook for the Medford School District.  Kenwood preceded her in death on April 13, 2002.

Patsy was an active member of the ladies church group, enjoyed playing cards, making beaded jewelry, and antiquing.

She is survived by four children, Cindy (Neil) Hassemer of Abbotsford, Amy (Mark) Henke of Medford, Brad (Donna) Meier of Stetsonville, Doug (Krista) Meier of Medford; a sister-in-law, Teresa Paul of Dorchester; grandchildren, Megan Hassemer, Troy (Amanda) Henke, Casie Henke, Holly (Justin) Miller, Brandon (Jessica) Meier, Benjamin (Kaitlyn) Meier, Zachary (Mackenzie) Meier; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Brody, Nora, Henry and Iris; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Kenwood; and siblings, Clifford, Richard “Dicky”, James “Jimmy”, Daniel “Danny”, Isabelle, Donna and Geraldine “Gerry”.
