Myles R. Schifsky, 67, of Gilman, formerly of Stillwater, MN, died Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the Aspirus Hospital in Wausau.
Myles was born January 18, 1959 in Stillwater, MN to Aelred and Anna (Tessier) Schifsky. He graduated from Stillwater High School in 1977.
On May 18, 1984, Myles married Robin Kaphing. They resided in Stillwater where they raised their three children.
Myles worked in road construction for most of his life, retiring from T.A. Schifsky & Sons in 2020.
Myles was devoted to his family. He and Robin raised their three children on a hobby farm and were active in the local 4H club. Myles proudly attended every horse show, goat show, and sporting event his kids participated in. He also enjoyed hunting and maintaining his farm. After retiring, he and Robin moved to the Gilman area to be closer to their children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Robin; three children, Caitlin (Charles) Packard, Lauren (Phil) Henrichs, and Tyler (Colleen) Schifsky; grandchildren, Peyton, Holt, Hannah and Maya; siblings, Mary Lou (Dave) Lawton, Marvin Schifsky; brother-in-law, Rory Kaphing; sister-in-law, Cathy Kaphing; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, June Schifsky; and brother-in-law, Randal Kaphing.
There will be a private family service to honor Myles.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in the Stillwater area.
