Matthew Ryan Hotchkiss

Matthew Ryan Hotchkiss, 28, of Medford, died Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau.

A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, August 12 at New life Apostolic Church, 824 Perkins St., Medford.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Matthew was born April 21, 1995 in Medford to Arlene Hotchkiss.  He graduated from Medford High School in 2013.

Matthew was currently working at Phillips Medisize in Medford where he had been an employee for many years.

He enjoyed gaming, listening to music and attending concerts, hanging out with friends, and spending time with his family and his cats, Tiny and Grace.

He will be sadly missed by his mother, Arlene Hotchkiss (Roger Ewer and his family) of Medford; his grandmother, Dorris Hotchkiss of Owen; brothers, Brandon (girlfriend, Brandi) Scheueneman of Stetsonville, Brent (fiancée Kayla) Scheueneman of Owen; aunts, Patricia (Michael) Kreiner of Oklahoma, Karen (Dale) Zimmerman of Antigo, Jean (Jayson) Marcott of Owen, Darrel Hotchkiss of Curtiss, Steven Hotchkiss of Owen; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Darrel Hotchkiss; aunt, Janet Sinette; and cousin, Jasmine Kreiner.

Memorials are appreciated and will be designated at a later date in honor of Matthew.
