Marjorie K. (Doriot) Nelson

Marjorie “Jorie” K. Nelson, 80, of Medford, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at the Marshfield Medical Center, Marshfield, surrounded by family.

A memorial mass will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with Father Patrick McConnell officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will take place at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.

Jorie was born on August 10, 1944 to Charles Jr. and Willetta (Ashley) Doriot in Medford. She graduated from Medford High School in 1962. She completed McConnell Airline School Course and worked as a dental assistant.She married Murrell W. Nelson in Medford on April 19, 1969. They lived in various places, the last being Milltown, WI. They were later divorced.

Jorie moved to Medford in 1990. She was an avid bowler and golfer. She enjoyed going to the casino with friends. She was also a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Jorie is survived by her two sons, Troy (Rebecca Jo) of Texas and Erik (Rebecca Jean) of Kenosha; grandchildren, Breanne, Samantha (Josh) Puotinen, Brittany, and Jacob; great grandchildren, Anthony and Cora. Jorie is further survived by her brother, Charles (Donna) Doriot and many other family and friends.

Jorie was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Willetta.
