Marguerite Klingbeil Obituary

Marguerite A. Klingbeil (nee Hirsch) joined her forever loved ones in Heaven on Saturday, January 1, 2022.

The funeral mass will take place on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford at 11 a.m. with Fr. Patrick McConnell officiating.  The grandchildren will be urn bearers. Burial of her cremated remains will take place at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will take place Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at the church.                                        

Marguerite was born on February 11, 1933 to Leo J. and Theresa M. (Brost) Hirsch at the family farm.

On June 28, 1952, Marguerite married the love of her life, Ramon “Ray” Klingbeil at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford.

Mother of John “Jack” (Kathleen) Klingbeil, Thomas (Marsha) Klingbeil, Karin Kay Casey, and Paul (Dawn) Klingbeil. Loving Grandmother to Sarah (Josh) Adams, Jason (Sue) Klingbeil, Jesse (Courtney) Klingbeil, Joshua Klingbeil (Brooke Sperry), Jonathan Klingbeil, Garett (Becca) Klingbeil, Grant (Danielle) Klingbeil, Nathanial Casey, Christopher (Deanna) Casey. And Loving Great Grandmother to Max, Ali and Ray Adams, Conner, Cooper, Carter and Coby Klingbeil, Taylor and Hudson Klingbeil, Belanna Werner and Geordi Sperry, Jack and Ada Klingbeil, Emmitt and August Klingbeil, Oliver Strobl and William and James Casey.  

She attended Holy Rosary School and graduated from Medford Senior High School in 1950 and Taylor Co. Teachers College.  She instructed for Northcentral Technical College at the Medford Campus.  An active member of Holy Rosary, she served as lector, minister of the Eucharist, taught CCD classes and directed a popular “teen” guitar group for the Holy Rosary Church “guitar mass” and member of Holy Rosary Council of Catholic Women.

She was kind, selfless and authentic to those who knew her well.  Marguerite was a devout Catholic who loved her family and dear friends.  Her interests and activities included bird watching, flower gardens, music, card playing, family gatherings, skiing, golfing, walking, family camping and traveling. Her sport favorites included Local, Collegiate, G.B. Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, U.W. Badgers and Bucks.  

Marguerite was active and achieving in her community.  She was an integral part of Black River Industries and Taylor County Disability and Aging serving on their boards. She also served as President for St. Joseph’s Children’s Home Inc. at Superior WI, an operation of Catholic Charities Bureau Inc. for the Diocese of Superior.

She was very much in unison with the name given to her, “Marguerite” a beautiful flower “loved by many” and will be very dearly missed.

Marguerite is survived by her beloved husband Ramon; her children; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brother, Patrick J. Hirsch; in-laws, Joan Hirsch, Bernice Hirsch and Joyce Baker; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.  

She is preceded in death by her parents Leo J. and Theresa M. Hirsch; siblings, Leo (Lorraine) Hirsch, Marilyn (Ray) Strassman, Peter (Edna) Hirsch, Mark Hirsch, Eileen (Gerald) Handel and John (Jackie) Hirsch; in-laws, Reinhardt and Martha (Pavlik) Klingbeil, Geraldine Hirsch, Reiny and Audrey Klingbeil,  and Bill Baker.

Memorial contributions may be given to Holy Rosary Parish and School. 

The family of Marguerite would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Hope Hospice.  The care, love and kindness shown to Marguerite were a blessing.
