Peggy Sislo, age 75, of Medford, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on August 28th, 2025.
A celebration of life will take place at the Medford VFW on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 12:00PM - 4:00PM.
Peggy was born on September 28, 1949, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, to Bill and Betty Gianoli. Peggy grew up the eldest of 10 children.
She was married to the love of her life, Dan Sislo, and together they built a blended family and a wonderful life full of cherished memories over the last 40 years.
Peggy is survived by her husband Dan, her children: Jeffrey Schroeder (Christy), Jason Schroeder (Julie), Melissa Murphy (Jeremy), and Matthew Schroeder; and her stepchildren: Brian Sislo (Tiffany), Christopher Sislo (Wendy Hall), and Steven Sislo (Kimberly). She was also a beloved sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend to many.
Peggy had a deep passion for life’s simple joys. She loved shopping trips, crafting beautiful handmade items, sewing, traveling in the RV with Dan, and over filling everyone’s bellies with her phenomenal cooking. Her meals were more than just food—they were an expression of her love, and anyone who sat at her table felt it deeply.
Peggy’s warmth, creativity, and unwavering love for her family and friends will be missed beyond words. As will the confetti, in every handwritten card she sent.
