Margaret A. (Zeigler) Schmidt

Margaret A. Schmidt, 75, of Medford, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at her daughter’s home, under the care of Hope Hospice, surrounded by family.

Per Margaret’s wishes no services will be held.

Margaret was born on May 30, 1947 to Joseph and Gladys (Abraham) Ziegler in Phillips. She graduated from Phillips High School in 1965. She married Edward Schmidt on June 19, 1965 in Phillips; he preceded her in death April 20, 2016. She and Edward raised 2 children in Phillips.  She worked as an Inventory manager for Marquip in Phillips. After retirement, she and Edward moved to Medford.

Margaret was a member of the community chorus. She enjoyed music, reading, embroidery, singing, puzzles, and spending time with her family.

Margaret is survived by her children, Joy (Mark) Ryskoski of Medford WI and Mike (Glenn Olstad) Schmidt of Weston WI. Grandchildren, Joshua and Megan Ryskoski and Aiden and Lehna Olstad; sister, Marion Wittling of New London WI. Margaret is further survived by other family and friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
