Kevin John Holzl, age 62, of Rib Lake, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, March 22, 2026.
Kevin was born in Medford on February 7, 1964, to Andrew and Mary (Zeman) Holzl. His parents preceded him in death. He attended Rib Lake schools and was a 1982 graduate of Rib Lake High School. After graduation Kevin worked for Patrick’s Fur Farm.
On September 6, 1986, Kevin married his high school sweetheart, Kelly Ann Roder, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Whittlesey. He and Kelly raised their family near Rib Lake. Kevin was employed by Hurd Millwork, which later became Sierra Pacific and was working there until the time of his death.
Kevin liked being outdoors and enjoyed gardening, yardwork, hunting, and woodworking. He loved spending time with his family and was always available to help anyone in need.
Survivors include his wife Kelly, son Joshua Holzl of Medford, daughters Jessica (Jason) Dassow of Rib Lake, and Joelle Holzl of Menomonie. He is also survived by two brothers, Ken Holzl of Medford and Randy Holzl of Rib Lake, and two sisters, Patricia (Wayne) Wudi of West Bend and Lori (Marty) Lemke of Tomahawk. Kevin also has six beautiful grandchildren: Scarlett, Aurora, and Hazel Dassow and Bennett Nerison and Ash and Cole Hofmann.
Per the family’s wishes, there will be no formal services. A private celebration of Kevin’s life will be held at a later date.
