Karen A. Westberg, 79, of Medford, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Aspirus Hospital in Medford.
A memorial service for Karen will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at First Lutheran Church in Ogema, with Pastor Travis Rogers officiating. Visitation will take place at First Lutheran Church on Thursday, February 19 from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.
Karen was born on November 27, 1946, in Medford to Eugene and Estelle (Cummings) Berg. She grew up in Ogema and graduated from Prentice High School. On June 22, 1968, she was united in marriage to Gary Westberg at First Lutheran Church in Ogema.
Karen dedicated many years of service to Prentice Hydraulics, Omark Industries, Blount Hydraulics, and Cat Forestry Products, where she worked until her retirement.
In retirement, Karen treasured time spent with her family. She enjoyed trips to the casino, cheering on the Wisconsin Badgers, and relaxing with her favorite court shows, especially Judge Judy.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Kristin (David) Mabie of Kennan and Barbra Lutzke of Prentice; her grandsons, Jeffrey (Jessie) Mabie, Trevor (Dakiya Baratka) Lutzke, Nicholas Mabie, Kyle (Taylor Slattery) Lutzke, and Chase Mabie; and her great-grandson, Ridge Mabie. She is further survived by her sister, Pat Barr, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary; and her brothers, Mike and Gary Berg.
