June A. (Gruhlke) Kautzer

June Ann Kautzer was a strong,  hard-working and fun-loving wife, mother, grandma, sister and friend. June passed away peacefully at home on September 22, 2021, after a courageous three year battle with cancer.

A memorial service for June will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford Chapel, with Pastor Paul Wood officiating. Burial will follow at Medford Evergreen Cemetery II. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, September 30, 2021 from 10:00 until the time of service at 11:00.

She was born to Clifford and Dorothy Gruhlke on January 13, 1958. She met her husband Dean at the age of nineteen and together they built their home in and around Medford, WI. They had two children, Heather and Tracy, and five grandchildren. June and Dean recently celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary and were very much in love.

The simple things in life brought great joy to June. She loved spending time with family, gardening and bird watching. During the holidays you would most often find her in the kitchen, baking cookies of all kinds while scents of cinnamon and vanilla filled her home.

June thoroughly enjoyed being a grandma to Alex, Kaitlyn, Trevor, Aliyah and Taiylor— nothing brought her more happiness than watching them run, play and be silly. She will be remembered most for her steadfastness, loyalty, and for always knowing just when she was needed. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
