Jerry McNamar, 85, of the township of Chelsea, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at his residence.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
Jerry was born on January 24, 1936 to Phillip and Tilly (Briant) McNamar in Whittlesey. He was a graduate of Medford High School. He moved to Westboro in 1956. He married Sharon Hollister on November 17, 1956, in Rib Lake; she preceded him in death on November 29, 2015.
Jerry worked at Hurd’s before buying and managing a farm for 33 years. After farming he went to work for Weather Shield until his retirement. He enjoyed deer hunting, cribbage, watching the Packers, and spending time with family.
Jerry is survived by his children, Bob (Renee) McNamar of Tomahawk, Allen (Ann) McNamar of Medford, Barb (Significant Other: John Sterr) Denzine of Fond du Lac, and Dale (Fiancée: Keva Schult) McNamar of Medford; 5 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 8 great-grandsons and 2 great-granddaughters. Jerry is further survived by a brother, Jim (Liz) McNamar of Medford, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Jerry is preceded in death by a sister, Nona Graumann in 1990 and a grandson, Josh McNamar in 2018.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Jerry’s family for use at a later designation.
