Jeanette E. Edelburg, 86, of Rib Lake, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Rib Lake Health Services.
A memorial service for Jeanette will take place at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 23, 2024 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Kenneth Bittorf officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will take place at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church on Monday, December 23, 2024 from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.
Jeanette was born on August 18, 1938 to Herbert and Dorothea (Kraus) Steinman in the town of Greenwood. She attended Green Grove and Green Meadow Grade Schools and was a 1956 Graduate of Rib Lake High School. She attended school in Minneapolis and was later employed by Eastern Airlines in New York City for six months. She returned to Greenwood before moving to Milwaukee and was employed for 5 years as an accountant at Inland Steel. She married Robert A. Edelburg on August 6, 1960 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Together, they moved back to Greenwood in 1966 and started dairy farming 1971, which they continued for the next 18 years. She also worked as an accountant for Klinner Insurance and as a crop reporter for ASCS.
In her spare time Jeanette enjoyed bowling, dart ball, gardening, puzzles, playing cards, and was an avid reader.
Jeanette is survived by her children, Kathy of Stetsonville; Robert (Lori) Edelburg of Rib Lake, Shirley (Mike) Osowski of Minto, ND, Roger (Beth) Edelburg of DePere, and Gary (Patty) of Scandinavia. She is further survived by 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, with 1 on the way, and many other family and friends.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a granddaughter, and a son-in-law.
