Janet C. Deml

Janet Carol (Simmons) Deml 87 passed away Thursday, June 6.  She was born October 18, 1936 in Marshfield, WI to Ernest and Ethel Simmons.  She attended Marshfield and Medford schools graduating from Medford High School in 1954.  She married Raymond L. Deml in 1955 and they had five daughters.  Janet was a stay-at-home mom before being employed at Time Federal Savings Bank as a loan secretary for many years.  She was an active parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.  She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, crossword puzzles and dining out. 

She is survived by Ray, her husband of 68 years; five daughters Cheryl Heier (Richard) Park Falls, Debra Croston (Charles) Milford, PA, Barbara Deml (Russell Emmerich) Medford, Nancy Risch (Timothy) Park Falls and Valerie Ruelle (Jon-Paul) Campbellsport; one sister, Jeanne Johnson, one brother, Charles Simmons (Jeannie); four sisters-in-law Theoma Deml, Mary Deml, Agnes Robida and Mary Jane Deml.     She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law

A memorial mass for Janet will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2024 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.  Burial will follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.  Visitation will take place at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Monday, June 17, 2024 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.  A celebration of life and meal will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Hall following the burial.
