James "Jim" R. Bucki Jr.

James “Jim” R. Bucki Jr. 62, of Medford, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at his home, surrounded by family, under the care of Hope Hospice.

A memorial service for Jim will take place at 12:00PM on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Hemer-Pickerign Funeral Home, with Pastor David Frank officiating. Visitation will take place at Hemer-Pickerign Funeral Home on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 PM.

Jim was born in Chicago, IL on September 15, 1962 to James and Josephine (Lewandoski) Bucki Sr. The family later relocated to a dairy farm in Athens, which sparked Jim’s passion for farming. He graduated from Athens High School and worked at the Medford Co-op until he was forced to retire, due to injury. He married Gina Prust on July 2, 1994 in Marshfield.

Jim was very proud of the land he purchased, upon which he built a cabin and enjoyed spending his time. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and shooting pool. His passion was being outdoors and talking with farmers. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Jim is survived by his wife, Gina; step-daughter, Heather Prust of Medford; daughter, Katie (Stanley) Prusinski of Rozellville, and son, Justin (Melanie) Bucki of Medford; grandchildren, Arianna, Brinley, Raylynn, and Madeline. Jim is further survived by his mother, Josephine; brothers, John (Sherri) Bucki and Jerry (Laura) Bucki; sister, Jennifer Wolff, and many other family and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, James Sr.
