James Everet Morris, age 64, passed away suddenly at Hennepin Healthcare Hospital on July 9, 2024.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday July 19th at First Baptist Church in Medford, Wisconsin.
Jim was born on July 6, 1960 in Ladysmith, WI to Everet Junior and Reva D Morris.
Jim graduated from Cumberland High School in 1978. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force and served from 1978 - 1991, specializing in space surveillance sensor repair and missile and space systems at Air Defense Command.
After his service in the Air Force, Jim worked as a Time, Space and Positioning Information Engineer and also worked classified missions for agencies of the US government.
Jim was currently employed as an operations manager at Element Materials Technology along with testing electromagnetic compliance.
He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and golf. He also liked to play his guitar and listen to classic Rock ‘n’ Roll. Jim enjoyed medieval fantasy games and books and had a high interest in documentaries regarding the universe, space and engineering in general.
Jim is survived by his three children: John Morris, Kirstin Walter and Laine Morris and a grandson, Jett Morris. He is also survived by nine siblings: Retha Nelson, Sharon Olson, Marie Albers, Barb Ackeret, Jeanna France, Karen Clark, Jeff Morris, Randy Morris and Debbie Silveira.
He was preceded in death by his parents Everet and Reva along with 2 siblings: Carol Hedlund and Sherrie Mendes.
