Gerald A. Anderson, 84, of Medford, died Thursday, December 29, 2022 at his home while under the care of Hope Hospice and his daughter Christine.
As per Gerald’s wishes, no services will be held.
He was born June 19, 1938 in Medford to David and Alberta Anderson. He grew up in Medford and graduated from Medford High School.
Gerald served proudly and honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps. from 1956-59.
On April 2, 1960, he married Sandra Balazo in Milwaukee. They resided in Milwaukee where Gerald worked as an iron worker for Briggs and Stratton for many years. They moved to Medford in 1994. Sandy preceded him in death in 2018.
He is survived by a daughter, Christine Anderson; son, Scott Anderson, both of Medford; siblings, Sandy (Rick) Salzwedel, Jeanette Reed, Sherri (Mike) Ertl, Virginia “Ginny” Kitchen; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandy; siblings, Darlene Steiner, Sheryl Anderson, Harlin “Butch” Anderson; and brothers-in-law, Ole Kitchen and John Reed.
