Elroy W. Dahl

Elroy Dahl of Medford, went to his heavenly home December 24, 2021 at Marshfield Medical Center, 2 days short of his 81st Birthday surrounded by his loving family.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 11 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford, with Father Patrick McConnell officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place at the Evergreen II Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Ashley, Alex, Makenna, Garrett, Dakota & Maddie.

Elroy was born December 26, 1940 to the late Fred & Eleanor (Riemer) Dahl. In his early years he enjoyed working in the woods, and construction and spent most of his career as a machine operator for Michel's Pipeline which led him to many different states.

In his earlier years he loved ice fishing, especially the contests, even won a few. He also enjoyed hunting, going to auctions, his garden, and most recently sitting outside in the summer sunshine. But most of all he enjoyed all the visits from his family. As many of his nurses would say, he was a very sweet man. And was a favorite Uncle to many.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Diane, his five children, Barb (Forrest) Tappe, David (Michele) Dahl, Jeff (Lisa) Dahl, Wayne (Molly) Dahl, Rodney (Wendy) Dahl, all of Medford. His special grandchildren Ashley (Chad) Allen, Viroqua, Alex Dahl, Minneapolis, Makenna (Cody) Miller, Garrett Dahl (special friend-Grace), Dakota Dahl (special friend Carlie) all of Medford and Maddie, Alex, Jake (Shelly) Tappe, all of Weston and Four Great Grandchildren, Ellanor Allen, Blayke, Tanner, and Laceigh Miller who all held a very special place in Great Grandpa's heart. Surviving siblings are Evangeline Becker, Jacky Faber, and Lyle Dahl.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Lester & Eudell
