Ella P. Fischer

On the 10th Day Of January 2023 Ella Pearl Fischer (Emstrom), was called to Heaven.

Born on March 10, 1927, Ella was so loved by many. Ella lived in Perkinstown for 91 years, most of them with her soul mate Theodore C. Fischer (Ted). Together they operated one of the largest farms in Taylor County after an accident forced them to sell the herd, but they kept the farm raising pigs, chickens, of course Rainy the horse. Ella then worked at Medford Memorial Hospital until her retirement.

Ella had a passion for gardening, hunting, fishing, cooking, and keeping a very well kept home, inviting people from all over to come for lunch (dinner), supper, also opened her home up to friends, family and hunters for overnight stays. Her meals were over the top, generous portions and very good.

Ella impacted so many people, she was a great mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend as well as impacting so many, two of which truly deserve a note: Her grandson Aaron and granddaughter Kim, they have been there for her for their whole lives!

Ella is preceded in death by her mom, Pearl Emstrom; father, Edvin Emanuel Emstrom; siblings, Fredrick G. Emstrom, Elin B. Sanders (Emstrom) and Edwin E.; her husband, Theodore C. Fischer; grandson, Andy Fischer; and nephew, Robby Sanders.

Ella is survived by Nancy (William) Sarring, Ned (Janet) Fischer, Ted (Dawn) Fischer; grandchildren, Aaron Fischer, Kevin (Michelle) Fischer, Kimberly Lane (Fiancé Chris), Kristian (John) Weber, Jesse (Erin) Fischer, Alycia Fischer and Adriana (Zach) Manvilla; and 16 great grandchildren.

Visitation and service for Ella will be held at Hemer-Pickerign Funeral Home in Medford on Monday, January 16, 2023.  Visitation will begin at 9:30am, service will be at 11am, with procession to the Perkinstown Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Theodore (Ted) Fischer and near her grandson, Andy Fischer.
