Donald W. Meyer

Donald W. (William) Meyer, 96, of Medford, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Our House Senior Living in Medford.

A graveside service for Donald will take place at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Hillside Cemetery in Marshfield with Pastor  Daniel Iwinski officiating.

Donald was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1926, to George and Ora Meyer in the town of Richfield.  He married Anna May Rudi on May 1, 1948 in Marshfield, who preceded him in death on January 24, 2005. Throughout his working career, Don managed several shoe factories in Wisconsin, Texas, and the Dominican Republic . He also farmed beef cattle in Rib Lake, WI. He enjoyed bowling,  golf, hunting, and fishing, throughout his life, and followed his favorite sports teams:  the Brewers, Badgers, and Packers. He enjoyed traveling during his retirement years. While living in Rib Lake he was active in the community serving as a member of; the Volunteer Fire Department, School Board, St. John Lutheran Church Council, and the Village Board.  After moving too Medford, he and Anna May became members of  Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Don is survived by his children, William ‘Bill’ (Barbara), Fullerton CA; Nancy Meyer, Powell, TN; Todd (Sheryl) Meyer, Green Bay WI, and daughter-in-law Susan Meyer, San Antonio TX; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Russell (Sandy), Green Bay; Gerald (Adeline), Marshfield; Bernard (Shirley), Marshfield; Randy (Cheryl), Auburndale. Don is further survived by other family and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anna May; infant son, David Meyer; son, Tom Meyer; and sister, Doris Dupee.
