Delores J Blasel

Delores J. Blasel, 89, of Medford, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, surrounded by family.

A memorial service for Delores will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Zion Lutheran Church, with Pastor Richard Russow officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Visitation will take place at Zion Lutheran Church on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.

Delores was born on December 5, 1934 to Martin and Goldie (Jehoich) Pagel in Taylor County. She attended Township of Greenwood Schools and Medford Senior High School. She married Norman A. Blasel on October 11, 1952 at Zion Lutheran Church and they were blessed with 4 children. Together they farmed in the town of Deer Creek, until retirement in 2004. Delores enjoyed her flower garden and watching the wildlife, especially the deer, bear, turkeys and birds.

Delores is survived by her children, Ronald (Deanne) Blasel of Dorchester, Brenda (Iver) Iverson of Medford, and Tommy (Susan) Blasel of Stetsonville; grandchildren, Nora Blume, Brad (Samantha) Blasel, Tammy (Don Leonard) Anderson, Sara (Jake) Fink, Chad Frischmann, Stacy (Derek Fell) Blasel, Tanya (Joe) Berger, and Craig (Ashley) Blasel; 15 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Arlis Lageman; brother-in-law, Harry Blasel.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman; Baby Boy Blasel in infancy; sister, Elizabeth Hartman; step-sister, Geraldine Kohlnhofer.
