Daniel J. “Dan” Handel, 58, of Medford, passed away with heart complications on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 17, 2022 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford with Fr. Jayanna Kanna officiating. Interment will be at a later date.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., Monday at the church.
He was born on December 5, 1963 to Roger and Arlene (Danen) Handel. Dan spent his career working for Handel Motor Company, Handel Evergreen and most recently at area manufacturing facilities.
Survivors include his mother, Arlene Handel of Country Gardens-Medford; his special friend, Paulette Schult of Merrill; three brothers, Doug (Sue) Handel, David (Jane) Handel and Al (Toni) Handel, all of Medford; two sisters, Karen (Brad) Dahlvig of Medford and JoAnn Handel of Aurora, IL. He is further survived by six nieces, Ember (Dan) Shmitt of New York City, Katie (Jason) Lindemann of Oshkosh, Ellen (Travis) Dowden of West Bend, Laney (Ben) Hemer of Wauwatosa, Maxx Handel of Medford and Alexis Handel of Aurora, IL; three nephews, Quay Handel of Omaha, NE, Eric Dahlvig and Chase Handel, both of Medford. Dan is also survived by two great-nephews and two great-nieces.
Dan was preceded in death by his father, Roger Handel and a niece, Franny Handel.
