Brigitte M. Wickersham

Brigitte M. Wickersham, 97, of Medford, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Aspirus Medford Hospital.

Private family services will take place at a later date.

Brigitte was born on March 15, 1927 to a police administrator, Max and dressmaker, Pauline Hoene in Berlin, Germany. She survived WW2 as a teenager in Berlin. She met her future husband James Wickersham in Berlin and they moved to Milwaukee in 1948. She became a US citizen in the summer of 1986. She was a lifelong Lutheran and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Brigitte is survived by her children, Martin (Jenemie) Wickersham of Manitowoc, Regina Leer of Edgar, Regan (Mary Anne) Wickersham of Hustisford, and Brian (Diane) Wickersham of Abbotsford; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Brigitte was preceded in death by her parents, daughters, Doreen Wickersham and Karen Feldman; son, Dana Wickersham; sister, Eva Kayes; nephew, Manfred.
