Betty A. (Meyer) Clarke

Betty A. Clarke, of Perkinstown, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at her residence.

Funeral services for Betty will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Hemer Funeral Home – Medford with Pastor David Clements officiating. Visitation will take place at Hemer Funeral Home on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 11:30 AM.

Betty was born on November 14, 1933 to Albert and Iola (Westrich) Meyer in Perkinstown. She was a graduate of Medford High School. She married Lowell Clarke on August 22, 1953; he survives. While Lowell was stationed in El Paso, TX, Betty became a CNA and worked at hospitals and nursing homes throughout her life. She was also a cook at Our House for many years.  She was also an Avon Lady. Most of all she will always be remembered as a wonderful homemaker.

Betty was a member of the Ladies Aid Society, an active member of the Perkinstown Community Church, the Red Hat Society, and American Legion Women’s Auxiliary.  In her spare time she enjoyed camping, sewing, baking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was famous for her homemade pancakes and deviled eggs.

In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by her children, Susan (Dwight Stevens) Dassow of Medford, Cynthia (Kevin) Krejci of Wausau, and Aimee (Lawrence) Williams of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren, Nikki (Paul), Wade (Patsy Gumz), Kelly, Keisha (Andy), Kolden, Kimara, Sebastien, and Rua; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Trinity, Grace, Aiden, Chloe, Jordyn, Addison, Brooklyn, Harper, Christian, and Beau; siblings, Harvey, Jerry (Nancy), and Patty (Clement) Johnson. Betty is further survived by many other family and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Albert & Iola Meyer, brother, Ronnie Meyer, and son-in-law, Lester Dassow, Jr.
