Arnold "Arnie" C. Dassow

Arnold “Arnie” C. Dassow, 62, of the Township of Greenwood, passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 12, 2021.

A memorial visitation for Arnie will take place at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford Chapel, on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM.

Arnie was born on March 8, 1959 to Arnold H. and Luella (Hardrath) Dassow in Medford. He married Jan Thums on June 2, 1984. He worked for various logging companies and Weather Shield until his retirement. In 2008 he was blessed with a second chance at life when he received a pancreas and kidney transplant.

In his spare time he enjoyed spending time outdoors, making firewood, walking his back 40, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Arnie is survived by his wife, Jan; children, Carly (Justin) of Madison, Casey (Matt Borchardt) of Marshfield, and Curtis (Jessica) of Green Bay; grandchildren, Bentley and Blake Borchardt. Arnie is further survived by his father, Arnold H. Dassow; brother, Dan (Kim) Dassow of Medford; sisters, Melody Jacobs, Twila Clarkson, Lisa (John) Jalowitz, all of Medford, Michele (Doug) Steines of Marshfield and Vicki Dassow of Medford; his companion, Cooper.

Arnie is preceded in death by his mother, Luella Dassow; parents-in-law George and Marge Thums, and companion, Nike.

Memorial donations in Arnie’s name may be given to family for use at a later date.
