Anthony J. “Tony” Matyka, 43, of Westboro, died Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Aspirus Hospital in Medford.
He was born July 24, 1978 in Marshfield to Michael Matyka and Cary (Neumueller) Wisnosky. He graduated from Rib Lake High School.
Following high school, Tony worked at Farmacy John Deere for several years, then started his own business of buying and selling three wheeler and four wheeler parts online, long before the internet was what it is today. This business grew and Tony was well known for being able to work on any type of vehicle, including heavy equipment. He loved his John Deere equipment and his Dodge vehicles. Each year, Tony attended the Edgar Steam Show with his hit and miss engines, where he would take engines to show and run, and would also bring parts to swap and sell. He also enjoyed going to antique shows.
Tony loved to teach school students how to start their own business. He would show them how to fill orders, box product, make packing lists, along with mailing and billing. He was also a proud member of the Westboro volunteer Fire Dept. When he wasn’t working on equipment, he was hunting, playing poker, or sipping Crown Royal or Johnny Walker.
Private services will be held.
If you so choose, memorial donations may be made to the Westboro Fire Dept. in Tony’s honor.
