Anthony “Tony” Blair, age 79, died Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the home of his son in Seymour, Wisconsin.
A private family service will be held.
Tony was born December 7, 1941 in Muncie, Indiana to Iris (Anthony) and John Blair.
He grew up in Eaton, Indiana and graduated from Eaton High School in 1959.
Following high school, Tony served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 until his honorable discharge in 1963.
On November 6, 1959, Tony married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Fesler. Together they had five children. They resided in Indiana until 1971, then moved to the Medford area where Tony farmed for many years. Barbara preceded him in death in 1999.
In 2004, Tony married Carla Tuohy of Brandenburg, KY. After their marriage, they resided in Kentucky to be near Carla’s children and grandchildren.
Tony’s strong faith and his church were very important to him. He also enjoyed his vegetable gardens, his paintings, bird watching and most of all, spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Carmen (Gary) Stradtmann of Atwater, MN, Beth (Gregg) Lugo of Medford, Scott (Denise) Blair of Seymour, Mark (Mary Jo) Blair of Brantwood, Patrick (Cindy) Blair of Medford; brothers, Randy Blair of New Mexico, Roger (Candy) Blair of Muncie, IN; sisters-in-law, Patricia Oswalt of Hartford City, IN, Linda Silvy of Anderson, IN; 13 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara; his father and mother-in-law, Bennie and Erma Fesler; a sister, Rita Hoogenboom; and a sister-in-law, Myrna Henderson.
