Alvin "Pudgie" W. Dassow

Alvin “Pudgie” W. Dassow Jr., 55, of Athens, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, April 17 at Woodland Community Church in Westboro.  

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m., Monday at the church.

Alvin was born on April 8, 1968 to Alvin Sr. and Mary (Drager) Dassow in Medford. He attended Greenwood schools. He married Annette Harley on February 10, 1990 in Medford; she survives.

Alvin worked as a logger for 26 years. After logging he worked for Colby Metals. He had a passion for hunting and fishing. He was a hardworking man and wanted the best for his children. His family was very important and his grandchildren meant the world to him.

Alvin is survived by his wife, Annette; children, Richard (Lyndsey) Dassow and Casandra (Michael) Dassow, both of Athens, Emily (Justin) Aschbrenner of Rib Lake, and Dakota (Desirae) Dassow of Medford; grandchildren, Brody and Zachary Dassow, Braxton, Sterling, and Kenzington Aschbrenner, and Kennadee Frahm; siblings, Marvin (Joleen) Dassow, George Dassow, Randy (Kathy) Dassow, Brian Dassow, all of Medford, Steve Dassow and Kathy (Mark) Kind, both of Rib Lake. Alvin is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Alvin’s name may be given to the family for use at a later designation.
