Allen Huber Obituary

Allen D. Huber, 79, of Medford, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Marshfield Medical Center.

Funeral services for Allen will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Woodland Community Church in Westboro, with Pastor Bryan Regier officiating. Visitation will take place at Woodland Community Church on October 28, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, with military honors performed by the Stetsonville American Legion.

Allen was born on January 25, 1942 in Thunder Hawk, SD to John and Katie (Shlepp) Huber, Germans from Russia. He was one of 15 children. Allen gave his life to Christ when he was 5 years old. He backslid for a bit, then rededicated his life to Jesus Christ and lived faithfully, following Jesus Christ until he went HOME FREE on October 21, 2021. He was a graduate of Lemmon High School in South Dakota. Allen, along with his brother Jerry, headed to Nashville, TN, to make it BIG, and stopped in Rockford, IL to see friends. He settled in Rockford. He served in the Air Force for 4 years in Dover, DE during Vietam. He earned an Associate’s Degree in Aviation Technologies with a 4.0 GPA. He worked at Fairbanks Morse from 1988 until his retirement in 2008 and then moved to Medford.  He married Marsha Oder and they later divorced. He married Patricia Kalmon-Bergeson in 2010; she survives.

Allen was a member of Woodland Community Church, Thursday Morning Men’s Prayer at Genesis Center in Rib Lake, NRA, American Legion in Stetsonville, Taylor County Rep. Party, and Abiding Care and Pregnancy Resource Center.

In addition to his wife, Patricia, Allen is survived by his sons, Jerry Huber of Dayton, OH and Brian Huber Hammondsville, OH; stepdaughter, Rachel (Brett) Zacho of Eau Claire; stepsons, Jason (Michelle) Anderson of Medford, Peter (Kelley) Anderson of Rib Lake, Jacob (Christina) Anderson of Menasha, Nicholas (Tara) Anderson of North Carolina; stepson-in-law, Leo Dallaire of Washburn; stepson, Paul Bergeson of Wausau; stepdaughter, Bekki (Bruce) Anderson of Mason; sister Leilla Moll of Fargo, ND, Sharon Kouba of Tuscon, AZ; 26 step grandchildren, 30 step great-grandchildren, 7 step great-great-grandchildren, and 1 step great-great-great-grandson on the way; siblings-in-law, Steve, Dave, George, and Jeffery Kalmon and Pearl and Delores Huber and Elaine Southworth. Allen is further survived by other family and friends. YES, Allen was a blessed man.

In addition to his parents, Allen is preceded in death by sisters, Lyla, Lydia, Edna, and Ruby; brothers, Fred, Jerry, Leo, Rueben, Oscar, Ed, Bill, and Paul.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Allen’s name may be given to his family for use at a later designation.
